Out of curiosity, I want to see which control system you people prefer for tank movement, and why.
I pretty much use the mouse exclusively. I've become proficient enough in rotating the tank with the mouse that the keyboard's simply not necessary, and I find the inability to attain maximum acceleration using the keyboard rather annoying. I use the keyboard pretty much exclusively for triggers and escape, and occasionally to zoom.

I use WASD for almost all movement, but I zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. I sometimes click to move long distances if there is a clear straight path. I use the keyboard for triggers.

Mouse preferably, the sensitivity of the precision is astounding. Great multipurpose maneuvering such as movement, turns, and rotate. Even when a lag occurs, it'll keep on going where the pointers leads them to be that's the strong point. I believe it's possibly safe to keep on going regardless of the amount of enemies until the frames reach it's stability.
I would use a keyboard if it wouldn't be used for advance technical specifics. Primarily entering chat commands. On the other hand a shortcut for town teleporting isn't friendly yet when pressing "z "or "Esc", there's a second or two delay although it could be just me.

Use mouse exclusively for movement, 1-4 + Z hotkeys for combat.

As someone only using a laptop mouse, maybe I'm biased against it, but my keyboard is my primary mode of interfacing with the game.

I retracted my vote to "both", due to the fact that I've forgotten the "k" key for changing control scheme (Angling, comfortable movement perspective) and acknowledges that triggers on a keyboard are blast! I can't possibly obtain simultaneously boosts with a click of a mouse, ha ha ha.
As in, I'll definitely use WASD while playing angled screen (also covers position) along with trigger keys for fusion effect and mouse for quick escape & zooming.
Admittedly, I was so attached to the mouse controls that I didn't give a slightest chance of keyboard usage. :\ At least it's just as lax with the mouse control originally was.

I was mainly focused on movement when I asked this question - I took the fact that people used triggers on the keyboard as an assumption.
As for tank-forward orientation: I do find the keyboard more useful in that orientation, but I'm not too fond of that control scheme. Unless you can keep track of directions when rotating it becomes rather disorienting and you lose track of where the area you've cleared is, and where the towns and other tanks are (hint hint: a minimap would be helpful!).

I use wasd for my movement, and the mouse to zoom in and out. My only frustration so far has been accidentally hitting the q/e keys and zooming during combat.
