Just felt like I should highlight two things that seemed to work well:
1. Finding then clearing to new towns feels rewarding and is also fun, expanding each town is also very fun for the next reason:
2. When in a town enemies do not aggro you. This meant that when i discovered and leveled up a town to around 4, I could go fight the drills around (there were four) without a mass of little minions. There were still some that got close, but not the usual amount. Those encounters with the drills and just a couple of minions was very fun im my opinion. (I was also all alone)
I would love to see more encounters like that where its not just a mass (although often that is fun too).
