Even though I have Augs on my Hornet, I still feel far too weak.
I don't know, I just feel like it really needs SOME sort of buff. Maybe a weak turret with high range facing backward? Or a higher range buff?
When doing Voys of ANY kind, I find myself almost always at half health, because I have to get TOO close to the Voy to hit it, and there is no shield there to absorb any of the damage. If Hornet is meant to be a sniper class, it should have even higher Range, and maybe weaker shields. I mean, I should not always be taking damage like I am just to get 1 shot in on a voy, or ANYTHING for that matter.
Heck, even a shorter trigger 2 ability (the one that boosts damage and range) cooldown would be GREAT. Practically the only time I feel decent while playing Hornet is when I am being buffed by trigger 2, and that only lasts for a couple shots, rendering me weak quickly after activation. Then, I'm stuck for like, a full minute waiting for the trigger again.
I guess that's just my opinion of the tank... In my eyes, it really needs a buff of some sort.
(Don't be TOO harsh on me, this is my first report/analysis as a tester! <3 )

Sorry, but this isn't an analysis, it's just a bunch of opinions and subjective observation.
Hornet doesn't need anything facing sdrawkcab, that's what trigger 4 (lightning) and trigger 1 (blink sdrawkcab) are for.
Don't get too close to the voy? I used to think it needs higher range also, but really it just needs more range than the Spectre to make it into the sniper class. (3.25 to 3.5 range instead of 3, or 2.75 range for the Spectre).
Shorter overdrive cooldown would make the hornet senselessly overpowered. You realize that with pulches it is (probably) the strongest ability in the game? You really think it needs a buff? It can do nearly 2500 damage (1000, yes 1000 more than a corsair shear) to a single target in a non-damage affecting region (or more than 3500 in a cooldown region)?
Sorry, the only thing the hornet needs is more range than the spectre (for the sake of differentiation more than 'buff/nerf'ing).

I have not played Spectre. I assume it has a high range turret?

I remember rob saying something about nerfing hornet because sniping zetas was not how the game was meant to be played or something.

although hornets is mainly what we do on zetas i think someonething should be done to fix the sniping of it. like taken said i dont think thats how zeta is supposed to be fought but that also could be fixed not by nerfing hornet but adding somthing to zeta

I think the hornet's just right. It's a long-range tank that does one thing and does it well, and if zetas are too easy to finish using one, it's the zeta that needs a rework and not the hornet. There's a reason nobody uses hornets on drills and deltas without some others on the front lines - hornets are useless in a minion-heavy environment.
Instead of nerfing hornet or putting minions on the zeta, I propose another approach: have buildings become invulnerable and vulnerable at regular intervals. The invulnerable buildings will essentially take on the role of minions as decoys to attract fire away from vulnerable ones.

+1 to tarbomb for coming up with an interesting mechanic. No offense, Rob, but increase bomb throw range or nerfing max range was the boring and lazy way out :\

I disagree with an invinc timer as it seems like a cheap and easy way out, just make it invincible that will solve everything.

blanket invincibility is an easy-out, randomized or patterned invincibility, solely to the outer structures, so people have to change targets to be efficient is hardly a lazy fix.

If I learned one thing from my time near the end of realm it was that except for before the battles actually starts, invincibility for bosses sucks. It feels cheap, and makes plenty of interesting strategies involved.
Make the outer structures invincible and that will lead to a lot of players being bored waiting for them not to be invincible. If another way to fix the issue can be found, its almost certain to be better than invincibility.

I don't think it's clear that we're talking about only some of the structures turning invincible at random, just meaning you change targets, not that you sit around waiting for it to not be invincible anymore. That IS what we're talking about, right?
