I am curious as to what changes we're going to see in this game in the future from many perspectives. I know Rob is a busy man, so I don't expect these questions answered immediately. I would appreciate as many answers as you can give me, Rob and Tar. This could possibly be some sort of universal question thread as well, as I don't see any of those up on these forums.
Questions
1. How many more tanks do you currently have planned to release, approximately? Will we be seeing any of said tanks released soon?
2. Are there going to be areas in which certain people can go and not be in the main map? IE. Dungeon, Castle, etc.
3. I have heard that you plan to make coins a currency buy-able exclusively with real money. What will these newly revamped coins be used for, and what will replace them in their current state (trading peer-to-peer)?
4. Do you plan on adding servers to Grid12, or will it stay as 1 large map encompassed into 1 server?
5. Do you plan on creating more types of convoys? More Zetas?
6. Are we going to see an ingame PMing feature in the near future? Guilds (or anything like them)?
7. Do you plan on adding more triggers to the existing tanks? Perhaps purchasable triggers?
8. Will we be seeing any major graphical changes in the game as a whole in the near future, or do you intend to keep it just like this?
I think that's about it. Thanks for the great game, Rob! I look forward to your response, but I understand if you can't respond.

Hm.. about the servers... How about this: when you join the game, you start from a set server (or maybe you can choose one). You are stuck there until you beat the server. Then, you can change to another server, where the process repeats. this would prevent people from simply waiting until there is a zeta in one of the servers, and then joining while they did absolutely nothing to clear it.

The issue with that fix K is that it prevents people from playing with their friends if they dont talk to each other before logging in. Or if people log off, than log on just to change servers.

I think you misunderstand me. I mean that you are stuck there until you beat that server. And there can still be a universal chat. Maybe new players have a few days to decide which server to play on? and a maximum number of people per server?

I can answer a few of those, though please bear in mind that although I've talked to rob quite a lot, I am not rob, nor do I know him irl, so although my answers have some truth to them, they aren't 100% fact.
1) Currently, rob has plans to create 50, or maybe even 100+ diifferent tanks, as unless some form of gear is implemented (which wouldn't be easy, since it would be hard to make gear that fits in with grid's style of lateral progression (progression and unlocks without directly getting that much stronger than a newbie)) tanks atm (followed by storage imo) are and probably will be the main form of progression in grid.
2) rob has played around with the idea of implementing some form of dungeons in grid, but the chances of some form of dungeon actually being released; let alone released any time soon, are very minimal.
3) The current plan is that coins and the marketplace will stay exactly as they are, with the one key difference of coins being bought instead of found on convoys. Meaning that non-payers will get coins from selling stuff and only selling stuff.
4) I can only assume that if the game gets big, more servers will be needed (could you imagine the lag of 500 people on a single server, let alone having most of them attacking the same zeta?). How that will work, ur guess is as good as mine.
5) More convoys: Definitely. In fact, according to the roadmap (https://trello.com/b/7eDHUXIz/grid-12-roadmap), we should be seeing at least 1, if not 2 new voys soon. More zetas: probably, but I don't know tbh >_>
6) No idea. At the very least, those features won't really be particularly necessary for a while, so probably not anytime soon.
7) No idea. Triggers will probably be kept at 4, but hey, who knows, things might change.
8) Again, no idea >.< There already has been a massive UI overhaul, and I think that the graphics as they are are fine. No major graphical overhaul will be coming anytime soon, that's for sure, but look at realm. It could happen, definitely.
