Happened automatically and seems to have broken the header of useful links...

Oh... well if the links come back, this way is nicer looking at least.

Reddit is a terrible choice for a community discussion board. The system encourages easily digested, shallow posts over more constructive self posts, in part by not counting self post upvotes towards karma and heavily emphasizing quick upvotes rather than depth. On the WS forums, most of the talk is at least semi-constructive. /r/rotmg, on the other hand, is filled with image and meme posts; sixteen out of twenty-five links on the first page are currently links to imgur or youtube. See here for more detail on this. Furthermore, the lack of categorization (are we seriously going to have /r/grid12, /r/grid12social, /r/grid12ideas, etc...) precludes the formation of a forum community.

I like this facelift in design. It also logged me out and I had to use the pw recovery because I'm bad at remembering login data. Heh.
All we need now is that handy link toolbar back.

I didn't make any changes recently …

The new design is prettier, but it's a lot less functional. There's just too much whitespace here compared with the old design, the useful recently participated pane at the top has been replaced with a useless blue banner, and the link bar is gone. Don't get me started on the gradients.

Pros: - Rounded corners are better because proboards said so. - UMG IT HAZ GRADIENTS - Bold text reminding you of every ad that failed to load(but why doesn't it tell me I suck for blocking the ad?)
Cons: - More blank space, less content. - Gigantic avatars make a 1 word post and a 500 word post take the same amount of space. - It looks like shit.

I agree with tarbomb on this one (though maybe that's because I'm not used to it). Though I gotta say, the change from being able to anonymously up/downvote people to being able to non-anonymously upvote posts is an interesting one, to say the least. But I guess it's for the best that karma was ditched before we got forumers that cared/obsessed about it >_> Pros: - Rounded corners are better because proboards said so. - UMG IT HAZ GRADIENTS - Bold text reminding you of every ad that failed to load(but why doesn't it tell me I suck for blocking the ad?) Cons: - More blank space, less content. - Gigantic avatars make a 1 word post and a 500 word post take the same amount of space. - It looks like shit. Massive avatars? On my computer, all avatars have been massively shrunk (which for the record makes my avatar look horrible :/)

SirNull: you can block the bolded text. Just add this filter:
proboards.com##DIV[id="top-ad-banner"]

Mr. Nil, if you had an account, you could select a better skin (amit's is nice).

Spoiler alert: The pros are actually also cons.
Additional guest annoyances: "Please prove you are a human" is not a sentence. The checkbox for agreeing with the terms of service is also a text field(wut).

Ood: how do you change skins?

At top, click Profile Find Edit Profile (On rightish) Click Settings Select Theme from dropdown Click Save Account Settings at bottom
Voila!
The Settings menu also has places to disable avatars, signatures, smilies, and drafts.
Disabling avatars and signatures makes a 1 line post appear about as long as
"Line 1 Empty line Line 2 Empty line Line 3"
Instead of about 5 separated lines.

rob: Not sure where it was previously, but if you still have the old links bar code (or if amit did it), it now goes under 'global headers' in acp.

Thanks Ood. I'll try to add have added these back. I haven't explored much of the new Proboards admin structure yet.
