Right now bombs and missiles are arguably the most dangerous things in the game for two reasons: High damage, and low visibility.
A few good fixes in my opinion would be to either enlarge and color swap them to make them more visible, or add some kind of sound effect that would accompany them.

This is an issue that has been plaguing the game since all the missile towers have been implemented. Though is now a new one with the GCT's. The problem is the darkened backround colors, which while are a much better alternative to the former pallet, and a huge plus to the older backround, has created an awful side effect.
These missiles and even the bombs are much harder to see then ever before, especially when cluttered with multiple players and enemies w/smoke effects.
My suggestion: A. Let the GCT bomb and the Missles from the Butcher class station have a "trail" akin to how a player's tank leaves when traveling, make the backround tiles change colors or light up maybe? I can almost guarantee this will solve all later problems with them, if it is possible. B. For the Desolation outpost, slightly enlarge/ change their color. The same could be said for all the others.

I for one would like an alienesque motion tracker ping for homing missiles.
