This error is extremely frustrating and plagues me every time I have to restart due to memory. I probably just missed a level 0 town being leveled to level 12 because I had to refresh due to getting the invisible tank error.

Try clearing Grid 12's cache for flash player and your browser, restart your computer, and log in again in Grid.

It should be enough to log out and log in again. However, if this doesn't work and the problem persists, use what has been said above.

Fastest way to get back to game is to open private browsing window (Ctrl+Shift+P on Firefox, Ctrl+Shift+N on Chrome), and log in again. Restarting browser / Flash projector (and clearing cache & LSO/flash cookies) should work.

I've tried logging in and out, as well as trying to log in via a private browsing window. It still gave me the error. Next time it happens, I'll try clearing flash cookies (I normally use flash projector). What is LSO and how do I clear it?

I've tried logging in and out, as well as trying to log in via a private browsing window. It still gave me the error. Next time it happens, I'll try clearing flash cookies (I normally use flash projector). What is LSO and how do I clear it? SOL/LSO/whatever is the file format of Flash Player's data (LSO = Local Shared Object). For example, your current login "cookie" (because it's how it actually works afaik) or GUID, your key bindings, and some other stuff. This software (freeware and trusted) allows you to view their content. As for your problem, since it honestly doesn't happen to me (just once), I can't help you more than suggesting what could work with the assumptions that what I understood of the game's login system (which I emulated and seems to work) was correct: what should happen when you login consists of the replacement of the local login data (email, password md5 hash, GUID/cookie) to the (server) provided one; what instead is happening is that either your client and/or the server do not change the GUID, which results in a failed "login" (it's a Hello response, actually) attempt. Logging out and then in again would repeat the process, therefore making another attempt at exchanging the right GUID tokens; it is not guaranteed to work though. Clearing the Flash cache or using the private browsing mode would basically delete/hide the contents of the game's SOL file, removing the possibility of conflict with existing local login data and, again, refreshing the token on the server.

Then how come attempting to sign in via Chrome incognito didn't work? It let me sign in normally but still gave me the error. I went from flash projector to Firefox, to Torch, then Chrome incognito, then back to projector again. After waiting and refreshing projector for about 3 minutes, it let me in.

I have no idea right now. There's still a small chance that the problem is server sided, you'd have to ask rob for help.

I have a feeling it is indeed a server-side issue for me. I tried all of the flash cookie clearing and all that fun stuff last night when it happened to me (again) with no results.
