Idea 4 for removing boring: Creation of a new tower that has very minor defensive and offensive capabilities (think alpha/beta processor), and instead debuffs the players around it in a big range (maybe 50 grid spaces, or 5 enemy structures worth). Possibilities include: - Debuff all tank stats by % or to base
- Debuff specific tank stats by % or to base (random, or could debuff same as region bonus)
- Debuff random tank stats by % or to base
- Same as any above but add in current 'unbuffables' (turret turn rate, tank turn rate, etc.)
Why? Well, we used to specifically debuff our enemies when we were able to build structures, this tower would be sort of the opposite of that. It would greatly limit player ability, and would encourage teamwork towards killing said tower in any number of ways (brute force, scout jumping, team infiltration, etc.) Adding such a tower makes every other tower much more dangerous (especially if debuff is to base value), and makes co-op play better for all involved.
