Hi!
I haven't been around since about build 80, so there have been quite some new stuff to look at and wonder on.
I'm reading up the Change Log now, to catch up.
My thoughts without any particular order: TL DR WARNING
- The game is much more eye friendly than it was, I see the background has been toned down in build 85, which is good. A further in-game option to manually set background intensity (for even slightly less) would be still nice, though.
- I like all the enemies currently on the map. I don't know whether more "basic" enemies should be added or not, I think the gameplay would benefit from actual new mechanics instead.
- I still haven't unlocked the top tier tanks, so have no opinions on them. Would like to try them sooner or later, though.
- I like the module system. It would be nice if we could meld modules that are already in slots (maybe with or without the option of keeping the original enhancements.). This would make people use their modules as soon as they can, instead of trying to wait until they could finally meld a lvl 3-4-5 or such. This would benefit market prices (higher demand for materials) and also incentivize more clearing / offensive playstyle. Also, since both the materials and the unused modules lie in the storage, being able to free them "earlier" would also help people with their storage issues.
- As it stands, I don't see a reason to use the 24 hour buffs. Namely: a) It uses the same materials as modules. A permamnent buff (even if it's less of a buff) is better in my eyes than an occassional one. b) I don't play every day, or if I do, I probably won't be able to utilize it's efficiency to the maximum. In that sense, an 8 hour buff or a week long buff would be much better. Also, if the game catches up and there will be mobs constantly around to join, these minor buffs will be even less important, as quantity will make up for quality.
- I would also like to have the option to sort modules by required material, or at least have some sign that shows it without having to click on it. For example the "LEGO" icon next to the module's name could be colored appropriately. (E.g. yellow one for transgas+enertek, red for protogen+omnium, etc.)
- I know that we can turn the health bar on and off in the Settings, but it would be nice if it still had a hotkey. Also would like to be able to turn off the "flipping" backtiles, maybe together with the "popping" units when they get on the screen.
- The "mouseover" thing only informs us about the enemy's and ally's HP, right? Kind of a superflous feature if we have the HP bars. Could be removed or changed to something like a small, transparent window in the corner that depicts the unit's shield (if any), range, damage, RoF, or what could be better: drops / drop rate.
That's it for now. I have more to comment on, but don't have the time. I will post it some other day. Thanks for your attention!
