This week we added a new enemy behavior scripting system. This system should make it a lot easier for us to add interesting behaviors to enemies. We celebrated by adding some scripts for a few old enemies, and we made a new wormhole boss. The Annihilation makes exploding bombs for 10 seconds, then rests for 4 seconds, then shoots missiles for 10 seconds, then rests another 4 seconds. But when his health goes below 25% he makes both bombs and missiles. This sort of thing would have been a big pain to do before the scripting system, so we are hoping to be able to add many more complex behaviors like this.
Next week we are planning to revamp the way both augments and storage space items work. Next push, WE WILL DELETE ALL AUGMENT AND STORAGE SPACE ITEMS. We will also reset everyone's augment levels to zero. The current plan is to drop both augments and storage at level 1 only. We'll give a 4% bonus for each augment level you have installed, with a level cap of 4. So, fully maxed, you'll see a 16% bonus from augments. But you'll lose an augment level on death, meaning that after a death you'll need to find 8 more augment items (for each of the 6 stats) before you can re-max. For storage, we'll require a level 1 storage item to unlock each of the first 4 slots. A level 2 storage item will be required for each of the next 4 slots, etc.
