There is a new region type, full of Flayers (which we released last week) and the new Rippers and Lashers. It's listed as threat level yellow, but it's probably too difficult for that classification. I'll work on balance more next week. These are fairly rare, so you may need to hunt to find one.
All the orbs ('cheerios' in the vernacular) got a new appearance this week. There is a jagged outer ring and a round inner ring. Since each ring can be a different color, I'm hoping that this will improve their visibility.
The PD9 Point Defense weapon shoots in a 360 degree arc, but its range is quite short. It should drop alongside all the other weapons.
I'm going to miss much of next week, but I'm hoping Tim will be able to push some goodies for you next Wednesday in my absence.
I just noticed that almost all the prisms give a 20% boost to their respective stat, except the ROF prism, which gives merely a 5% boost. Perhaps this is intended, but I just thought it was a bit weird, seeing as almost everything else, region boosts, augments, even power pods, give roughly the same amount of stats.
Also, the new enemies all seem to give only 1 experience.
The prism thing is an artifact of an ancient bug, in which RoF boosts were much more powerful than they are today. We fixed the bug but left the bonus at 5% a long time ago. I'd like to move it to 20%, but that would amount to an massive DPS boost to all players. So then I'd have to buff all the enemies, or nerf all the player tanks, which would be a huge job. So it sits as for now.
Loot for the Flayers, Lashers and Rippers hasn't been worked out yet, sorry.
