Duping's back and the community is in an uproar. That's out of Kabam's control but they're miserably failing at the things that are in their control: they're selling tops in the nexus now (something Mike pretty unequivocally promised would never happen) and they're banning people on the forums right and left for seemingly no reason without bothering to inform the mods why.
I don't typically rage or fire off profanity, but this is a situation where "fuck Kabam" is appropriate.

The game is still f2p and there is nothing you can pay for that you can't get through skill.

linkshot I never said the game was P2W, was I? The only reason selling tops in the nexus annoys me is that Mike pretty much promised that that wasn't going to happen, and the excuse they're giving out is, to put it frankly, bullshit.

I'll continue to play Realm, just less and less with each disappointment Kabam brings. Hopefully TF2 and this game (When I start) will be able to fill the hole where Realm once stood.

RotMG is screwed, I kinda understand Kabam's Pay-for-Convenience, but banning all mules and not (seeming to) do a whole lot about duping (go USWest and look at guild hall entrance. 'Nuff said.) It would be amazing if the hackers/dupers stay with RotMG and all the original (and newer) skilled, honest, generous players moved over to this game though.

I don't consider grid a replacement for realm, really. They're two very different games. A lot of the older realm players are moving over here because of Rob's presence, but grid12 has to establish its own playerbase independent of Realm's.

tarbombI figured from the screenies and videos I've already seen of grid that it was different, I just meant I hope this game develops into a nice community and not people like many currently on realm. I guess I only thought of realm because that's where I read about grid and where I figured many of the new forums users we're referred from. I wish the best for this game, and I agree it needs it's own playerbase.
